This large open-plan villa offers peace and tranquility in luxurious comfort. Surrounded by lush gardens and set in a lemon grove, Villa La Gratitude is located in one of the most beautiful valleys in the Spanish countryside, outside of the white-washed village of Casares, with the Sierra Bermeja mountains as a backdrop. There are easy walking trails at your doorstep which ramble through pine, olive and cork forests. A popular bird-watching area (on the migratory route from the Straits of Gibralter), there is a spectacular Griffin vulture feeding area nearby. Tour or relax, hike or swim. Drive 15 mintes to the beaches or the markets of Estepona. On the coast, you can visit the sophisticated city of Marbella, enjoy the many restaurants of Puetro Banus and the fish market in Estepona. There are many shops in the area, as well as golf courses. Windurf inTarifa or go paragliding in Sotogrande. Travel inland to visit Ronda, with its incredible gorge, and Jerez, famous for its sherry bodegas and Spanish dancing horses. An unpaved road of about 2-3 kilometers leads to the villa. (The road is flat and not difficult to drive.) The house is exceptional! The living room, with a beamed ceiling and gas fireplace, opens onto a comfortable garden lounge. The kitchen is fully equipped, with a dishwasher, microwave and a breakfast bar overlooking a spacious dining room. An additional dining table is available in a covered outdoor terrace area. Another sitting room with a library leads upstairs to a terrace, and there is also a utility room and a poolside conservatory. There are three bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king-sized four-poster bed and en suite bathroom. Two bedrooms have two twin beds and share a bathroom. There is also an additional half bath. The beautiful interior is complimented by numerous terraces for sun and shade. Amenities include air-conditioning throughout the house, telephone, satellite TV, VCR, stereo, ADSL high-speed Internet access, BBQ, washing machine and dryer.
