Kit graduated from Bryn Mawr College and earned a MS from University of Pennsylvania in Biology. She has worked in the field of travel for the last 20 years and founded Doorways, Ltd., in 1994. She loves to travel and paint. She speaks a little German, French and Italian.

Ellen has studied literature and has a Masters' degree in library science, and has alternately worked as a children's librarian and European travel specialist for the past twenty years. She loves to travel and to write, and enjoys yoga and reading. She updates our website, writes our newsletter as well as our villa descriptions, and welcomes your questions, comments, and ideas to improve them.

Born and educated in England, Carolyn earned a degree from Manchester University (UK), where she first caught the travel bug. She came to Philadelphia with the British Consular Service, worked for more than two decades in the Philadelphia sales office of a major internation carrier and another decade selling Holy Land tours and worldwide destinations before coming to Doorways. She enjoys cooking at home (and eating all over the world!), gardening, museums and theatre, and, of course, traveling.

Annamaria was born and raised in Philadelphia. She graduated from Villanova University with a degree in accounting. Like everyone at Doorways, she loves to travel, especially to Italy where both of her parents were born. Annamaria speaks Italian, and enjoys photography, running and reading.
