The Veneto is remarkable for its beauty, cuisine, art, Palladian villas and historical cities. In addition, there are the mountains and lakes to explore. Villa Giardino is located in the center of the Veneto, in the foothills of Asolo. The grounds are spacious and beautiful, with six acres of lawns and well-maintained gardens. An hour's drive brings you to the sea or the Dolomite mountains, as well as the most important art towns of the Veneto region. The nearby town of Maser is known for its magnificent villas; and Asolo, the beautiful walled town where Robert Browning lived, is 10 kilometers/6 miles away. Bassano del Grappa (after which the drink grappa is named), with its narrow streets of charming shops and famous covered wooden bridge is about 18 kilometers/12 miles. Treviso (30km/18mi), Padua/Padova (50 km/32 mi), and Venice (50km/32mi) are within easy daytrip distance.

The villa has been restored with an eye to comfort, beauty, and style. The six-acre garden, maintained lovingly by the owner, has been featured in Italian garden magazines. Return home from sightseeing to relax under your pergola and enjoy the quiet and peace in an extensive garden with your own swimming pool (7 x 14 m).

The villa is built on three floors: on the ground and second floor is Giardino 8; also on the second floor are Giardino 6 and Giardino 2, each with independent entrance. Giardino 6 and 2 are not rented separately when only Giardino 8 is occupied.

GIARDINO 8: Sleeps 8; ground & second floor; 800 sq m

Ground floor:

GIARDINO 6: Sleeps 6; second floor (28 steps), with independent entrance from the rear of the villa; 160 sq m

• 2 bathrooms (one with tub and the other with shower)

GIARDINO 2: Sleeps 2; second floor (28 steps), with independent entrance from the rear of the villa; 55 sq m

• Studio apartment with twin/double bed, kitchenette with microwave, one bathroom with shower

Amenities: TV (no satellite, no DVD). There is no telephone at the villa. WiFi internet access (works only in part of the villa, near the router). The villa is not air-conditioned but there are fans in the bedrooms.

The villa owners have arranged for a reduced fee for their guests at the local golf club, and are happy to arrange visits to local wineries with advance notice. The owners' residence is located on the property, and they have a dog. Although the dog is friendly, Villa Giardino is not appropriate for anyone allergic to or afraid of dogs.
