Strategically located in the heart of Chianti, between Florence and Siena, Villa Poesia offers stunning views over the rolling hills to the ancient towers of San Gimignano. This 18th-century villa has been in the owners' family for generations and all of the family weddings are celebrated here. Stroll through classical Tuscan gardens with hand-carved balusters and huge terracotta urns, or through the olive groves and vineyards that surround the villa. Relax by the Mediterranean-style swimming pool. Taste the excellent Chianti wine and olive oil produced on the farm. Visit the entertaining wine "museum" below the villa.
The closest town is Certaldo, with shops and restaurants. Within walking distance is a mini-market, a wonderful family-owned restaurant with Tuscan specialties, and one of the oldest churches in the area. Florence and Siena are just 20 and 15 miles away.
TERRAZZA (Sleeps 2): air-conditioned
This apartment is named for its panoramic terrace, with splendid views over the countryside. It can be combined with Affresco and/or Torre to sleep up to six. Together, the three apartments occupy the entire piano nobile (elegant upper floor) of the villa.

The beautiful Affresco suite is rented only in conjunction with Terrazza. It has one double bedroom with a small kitchen corner (for breakfast only) and one bathroom, and amazing views of San Gimignano.

The Torre Apartment is rented only in conjunction with Terrazza and Affresco, with an additional bedroom, bathroom and kitchen.
CAMINO (Sleeps 4+1)
Camino is located on the ground floor of the villa, accessible via a flight of exterior steps. It is ideal for two couples, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms.
