The Trevi Apartment is in a spectacular setting — right on the Trevi Fountain Square.
This is a wonderful area for exploring all of ancient Rome on foot. Walk easily
to the Spanish Steps, the Pantheon, the Campo de' Fiori or the Forum. The metro
is at the Spanish Steps (3 minutes away), and from there one can speed
to the Vatican or the central train station to find connections anywhere. The location is convenient for elegant shopping, nice little coffee bars, gelato shops, internet cafes, restaurants and designer stores — and still in easy walking distance of the vast Borghese Gardens.
One might expect this apartment to be very noise, since the Trevi Fountain is always bustling with tourists tossing coins into the fountain, but because of quadruple glazing and the fact that the bedroom is toward the back of the apartment, it is surprisingly quiet. Still, if you are looking for peace and quiet, consider looking elsewhere in Rome. This is the perfect apartment for people who like to be right in the heart of the action.
The Trevi apartment is on the third floor (easy walk up) in
a building without an elevator. The 12-foot ceilings, soft color on the walls and
hardwood floors have all been recently renovated so that the apartment is fresh
and welcoming:
- Living/dining room with sleep sofa (sleeping one adult or two children), dining table
- Kitchen corner with clothes washer, sink, 2-burner stove top and microwave. There is a refrigerator but no real freezer
- 1 queen bedroom, en suite bathroom with shower
The apartment has a telephone and Italian-language TV.
Furnishings are of high quality and are a mixture of antique charm with modern
comfort. There is extra storage space in a room off the hall.
Air conditioning is not
possible in this apartment because of the historical square, where there are regulations
about keeping the façades of the buildings on the square intact.
