La Sovrana is tucked away at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac just 4 kilometers from the small town of Maori, which has one of the largest and most beautiful sandy beaches in the area. This spacious, stylish stone villa offers breathtaking sea views. The location is secluded, yet within reach of the many nearby villages. Amalfi, Ravello, Positano, Sorrento, Pompeii, and Paestum are easy daytrip destinations. A bus stop is located 100 meters from the front gate. Travel all along the Amalfi Coast, or take a ferry or hydrofoil to Capri, Ischia, Positano, Naples, and Salerno.

The property is reached via a descending driveway (1.5 km) and is surrounded by pinewoods, olive groves, and lush vegetation cascading down to the sea. The spacious interiors have been restored and decorated with a blend of modern and antique furnishings. Comfort and tradition are combined with charm and contemporary design, in harmony with the terracotta floors and whitewashed walls. The large, open plan, split-level living and dining area is bright and airy, with light streaming in from tall windows and glass doors surrounding the room. The living room is furnished with three sofas, providing plenty of comfortable seating; the dining area is slightly raised, with a table for twelve and French windows opening onto a side courtyard. The kitchen is fully equipped, with a dishwasher and microwave.

La Sovrana has six bedrooms, each with its own bath. One bedroom has three single beds and an en suite bathroom with shower. A double bedroom has French windows opening onto a terrace and en suite bathroom with shower. A large bedroom has antique wrought iron twin beds, a bathroom (shower over tub), and French doors opening onto a large balcony that overlooks the sea. A single bedroom is located alongside the pool area and is accessible only from the outside of the house; it has a French bed and en suite bathroom with shower. In addition, an annex is accessed from five exterior steps and provides accommodations for two additional guests. It has two French beds (can be made up as a double), a portable air-conditioning/heating unit, and en suite bathroom with shower.

The terraces around the pool and in front of the house are adorned with flowering plants and equipped with lounge chairs and outdoor furniture for dining al fresco or relaxing while enjoying the view. The seawater swimming pool (17 x 5.6 m.)is completely private, offering a glorious view of the coast. There is an outdoor shower by the pool.

Amenities at La Sovrana include a laundry room with two washing machines and ironing facilities, satellite TV, telephone, and individually controlled heat/air conditioning units. Private parking is available for 3-4 cars on the premises or along the driveway.

There are unguarded terraces and drops at the property, so we do not recommend La Sovrana for families with young children. For larger groups, La Sovrana can be rented with La Ginestra, located along the same private drive.
