Villa Gianna occupies the entire ground floor of a 17th-century villa set in a beautiful panoramic position. The villa is particularly attractive for its modern décor, spaciousness and proximity to the lively center of the famed seaside resort of Positano. A large private terrace is an ideal setting for outdoor dining, morning coffee or sunset cocktails. The spacious interiors have vaulted ceilings and thick stone walls, characteristic of the ancient buildings of the Amalfi Coast. Recently refurbished and tastefully furnished, Villa Gianna has majolica tile floors and an elegant mixture of antique and modern furniture. The outdoor area consists of terraces and gardens, with wide panoramic views of the sea.

The large terrace is at the front of the villa, with seating and dining areas, shaded by an awning and a sun umbrella, filled with pots of colorful geraniums and planted with flowering shrubs, red climbing bougainvillea, citrus and ornamental trees. The terrace is outfitted with a dining table that can comfortably seat eight, an outdoor shower, a BBQ, a two-seater settee, and comfortable lounge and armchairs, offering unspoiled views of the pastel-colored villas and palaces of the village rising above the Meditteranean Sea.

A set of French doors opens from the terrace into an open-plan living area divided into a kitchen, sitting and dining area. The living room is modern and comfortably furnished to a high standard, with a leather sofa, a dining table to seat eight and flat-screen TV. The ceiling is very high and the room is filled with light from a large arched window overlooking the terrace and the sea. The modern kitchen corner is separated from the rest of the room by a small wall and is equipped with a diahwasher and microwave. From one side of the living room, a small corridor leads to the rest of the villa:

• 1 single bedroom with French bed (larger than a twin, smaller than a double)
• 1 bathroom with Jacuzzi tub
• 1 independent double bedroom, accessed from the terrace; en suite bathroom with shower

Each room has its own controls for heating and air-conditioning.

For guests with cars, one parking space is provided in a private parking lot situated 5 minutes walk from the villa.

The closest shops, cafes and restaurants are an easy walk (300 meters) from the villa. The nearest beach is the main beach of Positano, called Spiaggia Grande. It can be reached only on foot in 5-6 minutes, following a charming downhill alley (closed to traffic) lined with colorful shops and boutiques; it will take you to the beach in approximately 600 meters. Ferries and hydrofoils to Capri (20 min), Naples (50 min), Amalfi (30 min) and Salerno (1.5 hrs) leave from a pier to the right of the main beach. The other villages of the coast are easily reached by blue SITA buses; there is a SITA bus stop 300 meters from the house, with regular service to and from Amalfi and Sorrento every 45 min-1 hour.
