Casa Maia is a charming village house, recently renovated to a very high standard, combining antiques with modern touches to make you feel perfectly at home. Situated in a picturesque hamlet of Tosnacco (10-15 minutes' walk steeply uphill from Moltrasio), the villa offers a peaceful, private setting, with a small grocery shop and a nice restaurant (We've heard that George Clooney has eaten there!) within walking distance of the house. Moltrasio is less than an hour from the center of Milan and only twenty minutes to Lugano, Switzerland. The location offers easy access to Cernobbio (4km/2.5mi) and Como (9km/5.5mi) by car, bus or ferryboat.

Please note, there is no access to Casa Maia by car. To reach the house, you must leave your car below and walk up through a narrow lane with stairways to the house (approximately 150 meters/164 yards/80 steps). The path can be slippery when wet, so this property is not suitable for elderly guests or anyone with walking difficulties. A car is recommended to stay at this property.

Casa Maia is built on three levels:

Main Level: Open-plan living, dining, kitchen

A lower rate is offered for small groups (up to 4p) without the use of the downstairs double bedroom.
